LM13700 Model

Does anyone here have a model for an LM13700 (or any generic transconductance amplifier for that matter), or know how to simulate one fairly accurately?

I tried simulating the circuit of 1/2 13700, complete with the correct SPICE parameters for the transistors, but it doesn't work.

Solved! - very silly to follow the TI schematic verbatim Of course the diodes have to be PN junctions identical to the transistors in order to give a current mirror. For the benefit of anyone else wanting to do it, this works. Note the bias voltages needed to make it symmetrical are not identical to a real 13700, but this simulation is OK for my purposes.

The accuracy of results from a simulation model depends on how close the precision which the simulation model is developed with respect to the actual system. The key difference between modeling and simulation is that optimization modeling provides a definite recommendation for action in a specific situation, while simulation allows users to determine how a system responds to different inputs so as to better understand how it operates. https://www.circuitlab.com/questions Donkey Kong
