I’m considering powering an approximately 6” 5v (or 9v if I can find one) white LED strip with a rechargeable 9v 1300mah battery. Will this work, or is a lipo battery better? What would you recommend to drop the 9v to 5v if that is the route I go? Thanks! |

Using a 9V battery can actually work, but it is important to regulate the voltage down to 5V to avoid damaging the LED strip. The recommended LM7805 voltage https://www.circuitlab.com/circuit/2m77zk/lnd150_ss_cs_amp/ geometry dash scratch regulator is a practical solution for this purpose. |

For dropping the 9V to 5V you can use the LM7805 voltage regulator |
