Can u please tell me how to recognize the primary and the secondary coil on transformer symbol? I tried to understand it but I m getting more confused.

This point has been raised a while ago:

and posted as a Feature Request:

@mrobbins, @hevans,

Any chance of a clearer symbol please?

You can figure it out by making up a little test circuit, with an AC source and a transformer. Set the transformer ratio to "10" and see what comes out. Surprise! You get 1/10th the voltage out. Now put a 1000 ohm resistor in series with the voltage source and change the source to DC. Surprise, the voltage across the primary goes down to half!

So what this tells us is that the primary is on the left, And "N" means the step-down radio.
