Circuit Lab won't save anything

Hi there,

I'm new to Circuit Lab as of yesterday. It is a fantastic resource for any engineering student and I would recommend it anywhere.

The only problem I'm having with the software though is that I cannot save any of the schematics I have drawn. I registered for an account yesterday and it still isn't working.

I click "File" - "Save as" and then nothing happens.

Any suggestions?

I am using Chrome on Windows 7. I've found out that it works when using Firefox and so for some reason some functions are not supported on Chrome. Is this correct?

CL is fully supported on Chrome and Firefox:

I use CL in Chrome on WinXP and W7 as well as in Chromium on Linux have found that sometimes there can be quite a delay between clicking Save (or Ctrl-s) and CL coming back to say it has saved a circuit. Very occasionally it ignores some keystrokes. Duplicating a window usually sorts it out.

Silly question: you are logged in when you try to save a circuit?

Yes, I just click "Save As" and no window appears, like it does when I use it on firefox.

Make sure you don't have some overly-aggressive pop-up blocker turned on.

I have, unfortunately, already tried this - to no avail, however.

Hi @an0901,

That is a very odd problem you are having, I haven't seen this issue reported by anyone else, so I'd like to get to the bottom of it to fix the bug before others run into it. The menus should definitely work on Chrome on modern versions of windows.

Is the File -> Save button also not working for you? If you create a new circuit, and then go File -> Save, do you also not get the dialog box? What about the other menu buttons, do they do what is expected?

Could you also include which version of chrome you are running, if you click on the little wrench on the to right-hand corner and go down to 'About Google Chrome' you will see the version number.
