So if you try to open the circuit above in the editor, it won't allow you to "run time domain simulation." I was able to show a nice graph time domain simulation initially by hitting "run time domain simulation" button. But after I pressed "transient analysis" the "run time domain simulation" does not work anymore and it no longer shows me the nice graph. I've also tried to save and re-open this circuit again and has no luck. I saved this circuit, and now I am stuck and can't get it to "run time domain simulation" anymore. Is it a bug or am I being stupid by not hitting the right button? Thanks a lot for the help! =) |

signlity - NICE! Thank you very much! Much appreciated! I was pounding on this circuit for hours and got stuck. It was the first time I use this circuit simulator, there's much to learn! So I guess the reality and the simulation world are just slightly different. Maybe the simulator developer can consider making certain components color RED, and the RED components aren't actual circuit components, they are just ones that are needed for the simulator to work correctly. Joke aside... where do you find a 1GOhm resistor in the real world? |

:) Rule 1 in simulators: every node must have a DC path to ground. It's not always clear in CircuitLab what has and has not got a DC path to ground in some of the components.
