So what is “this thing” exactly?

Can you load the CL examples?

Assuming that "this thing" is Circuit Lab, I am running it in Chrome (and in Firefox) and it works just fine. You do have to allow JavaScript in your browser though because the Circuit Lab software downloads JavaScript to your browser and then runs it on your own PC.

@gms,

What version of Chrome are you running?

What OS?

Chrome Version 22.0.1229.9,

Ubuntu Linux 12.04.

If I run CL Editor in Chromium Version 20.0.1132.47 Ubuntu 12.04 (144678) on Kubuntu 12.04 LTS with Javascript disabled I get:

"You appear to have Javascript disabled. Please click here for information about how CircuitLab uses Javascript."

where 'here' is:

https://www.circuitlab.com/nojs/

Not the same error message @gms is seeing.

@gms,

Sanity check: Are your using Chrome or Chromium?

Chrome, downloaded and installed as part of the Google Cloud.

I also have Cromium, but don't use it very often and have never tried it with CL.

OK...I just tried CL with Chromium and it works great.

Chromium Version 20.0.1132.47

@arevans,

Sorry but you're replying to questions I'm asking of @gms. Are you the same person?

:)

@gms,

For info

CL also runs OK for me in Chrome Version 22.0.1229.94 on crunchbang linux (waldorf).

And Iceweasel 16.01 on same.

I've also run it fine on rekonq Version 0.9.1 Using KDE Development Platform 4.8.5 (4.8.5)

in Kubuntu 12.04 (LTS)

Note that although CL runs for me on Chromium and Chrome in Kubuntu 12.04 LTS, there is a problem with it in that in the Editor, it will not show me the whole of the gridded area. Don't know why. Sidestepped the problem by using rekonq.

:-))) Funny powwow, as from the posted error message I’d assume that @gms has no basic problems to run CL but can not open a particular circuit in the editor.

I really OFTEN face glitches in software, it’s my fate, regardless of Win or Mac, but I have to confess that the stability of CL’s JavaScript is superior, at least using my Safari browser.

Thus I wanted to know how @gmx managed to create “this thing”.

@gms,

If you have managed to create a circuit that you then cannot see or reopen, please post the public or unlisted link to it here.

Thanks.
