Hi Dear Friends, I am working on a RLC circuit when there all three are in series C, R , L with a clotage source equal to 3 volt , i am asked to 1. show that VS, VR, VC and VL transient response in time domain at resonant frequency. 2. show VR/VS response in frequency domain and indicate the filter type. Hope somebody could help because i have never used this before and the big problem is how to animate it . thank you so much. |

You need to put some effort into learning to drive CircuitLab (in between the adverts) and then draw your circuit and make it public or unlisted: https://www.circuitlab.com/blog/8/ so that other people can see it and therefore be in a position to offer help and suggestions. It will not help you to have someone just post a working simulation because you will learn little from it. No circuit => no help. Hints: For (1) you'll need to develop the expression (i) that describes the resonant frequency of a series LC circuit. Then put a unit voltage step from VS across CRL and measure the voltage across R, (V(R.nA) - V(R.nB)). Compare (V(R.nA) - V(R.nB)) with the frequency given by (i). However, beware: https://www.circuitlab.com/circuit/653up7/damping-vs-time-step-01/ For (2) you have to do a Frequency Domain simulation measuring the voltage across R. :) |
