Circuitlab freezes

Hi,

any time I try to open the plot in a new window (export plot?), it freezes the tab in Chrome. I cannot even hide the plot and strangely refresh doesn't help either. I have to close the tab and open the project in a new one. Any ideas why?

Hi alkopop79,

Is the circuit you're having trouble exporting publicly available? I'd like to take a look if possible. Also, could you tell me the version of Chrome and what operating system you're using.

To see if maybe this is a problem with your browser/computer, would you mind trying to open, plot and export the following simple RLC circuit?

Thanks!

Hi,

Mac OS X 10.6.8, Chrome Version 26.0.1410.65. Try this project please:

Once you've run the last simulation, do Export Plot Image. It will open a blank tab, then hit Hide and the project tab will be frozen.

I've tried the circuit you shared and it produces the same problem: when clicking on Export Images, it opens an empty tab and the main window freezes when I click on Hide

Hi alkopop79,

I am able to export your simulation plot fine, so I suspect it's something specific to your computer/browser.

In Chrome, can you please activate the developer console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+J, and then try exporting the plot again? Copy/Paste any messages that show on the console here.

Thanks again for your patience while we try to investigate this issue.

Document was loaded from Application Cache with manifest https://www.circuitlab.com/editor/circuitlab.appcache www.circuitlab.com:1 Application Cache Checking event www.circuitlab.com:1 Application Cache NoUpdate event www.circuitlab.com:1 Port error: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.

There's no indication of anything on the terminal, it says cannot connect when the editor opens. Now the freezing is so bad that I cannot even close the tab.

It works fine in Safari and the latest Opera but crashes in Firefox (not freeze).

Recommend a program called CCleaner, gets rid of C*** from your cache. Usually fixes everything to do with browsers...
