I am experiencing a problem when trying to change the component value. Sometime it is taking about 5 to 8 click to open the window to change the value. What I am doing wrong? Thank you |

I've been using CircuitLab for a couple of weeks now in Chrome on WinXP and Chromium on Linux Mint Debian Edition and have not experienced this behaviour. What exactly are you doing on which components when you see this behaviour? Which key(s) are you using when you click? What browser, running on which operating system? What other processes are running on your machine that might be slowing your browser response down? For more help, it might be worth reading the section on bug reports in: https://www.circuitlab.com/forums/support/topic/8s9n9hav/how-to-use-the-circuitlab-support-forum/ to give the CircuitLab developers a bit more to go on. |

These are the first reports we're hearing of such behavior. As @signality suggests, please let us know what browser and other relevant information to help us try to investigate from our end. FYI, similar behavior does happen in totally unsupported browsers such as some versions of Internet Explorer, so that could be what's happening here. |

I am using Firefox 12 and Windows 7. I have the problem with all components. I right click and sometime open right away but most of the time I have to keep clicking until it open. |

Aaaaaah. Not sure if this is the same problem but I've just noticed that it is sometime possible to: i) select a component, have it highlighted in red and have the connections show grey dots round them: under these conditions I can double click on it and edit the value; and then ii) click just to one side of it but not quite out of its area of focus, still get it highlighted in red but without the grey dots around the connections: under these conditions I can double click on it without deselecting it as would happen if I clicked on the area outside its focus but the value editing dialogue box does not open. Move the mouse nearer the body of the component (a capacitor in my case) and the dots reappear and all is well again. Another observation: when the dots disappear, as I click on the component it deselects (turns grey) but as I let go of the mouse button it reselects (goes red again). Chromium browser on 64 bit Linux Mint Debian Edition Update pack 3. Gnome 3 desktop. |

Hi. I found that if I click twice very fast it will open right away. I checked using AOL and I got the same problem and tried it in another computer with the same result. What it is common windows 7. The way I am changing the value it is as follow: 1-Go to build left click on the component to select it. The component tuned red. 2-Left click twice nothing happened. Keep clicking then the component window open to change the value. If I click very fast twice the window to change the value open. Do not repeat every time but it is much better. |
