First, I am new to CL and there is still a lot of stuff I do not know about the features of this system. I played a bit with the 555 Timer IC example and then tried to find out how it was modeled? I was hoping for a modeling language being exposed to users but that does not seem to be the case. Correct me if I am wrong. Does anyone know if you can model your own device and add it to the Build set of devices? Is there a modeling language? Given that the 555 is not too complex, I could understand it being modeled directly as the discrete devices inside of the IC (transistors, etc.). Is that what is done? Or, maybe some other parametric model that merely simulates some of the well known behavior of the 555. Thanks for any answers and comments. |
