I would like to request that the Middle Mouse Press and Drag be assigned to PAN.

Other (PC) programs that use this assignment are very easy and intuitive.

Roll Middle Button to ZOOM (as is), Push Middle Button Drag to PAN.

A more aggressive request, would be support for user assigned soft keys.

The "Zoom out and zoom back in on the relevant part" paradigm gets old quickly.

However, the zoom-to-pan mechanism it should be retained because many users will be on laptops. Few laptops (and indeed, not all mice!) handle middle-clicking well.

Thanks for the suggestion. All the awesome ideas from the community are what will help us keep making CircuitLab better and better.

Currently you can use Ctrl+drag on the circuit to pan (Cmd+drag on macs). This should be much more usable than zoom to pan. Middle mouse to pan is on our to-do list and coming very soon.
