Apply color to diagrams

I would like to have the possibility to apply color to my diagrams in order to make them more attractive for students. Thank you so much. Awesome app.

Need color to help track actual build of a circuit.

@dattorro,

But you already can.

Right-click on a wire and then select:

Edit Parameters

and choose your colour.

or just double-left-click on the wire and choose your colour.

You can change the line width too.

one needs to color components too.

just wires is insufficient

I understand your point but whilst colouring the components themselves would be a nice to have, you don't actually need it.

You could just use a line to strike through a component to show it has been fitted.

Maybe then colour the line or use extra lines to show it is fitted and works OK.

Yes, coloring components is needed, wanted, and necessary to eliminate paper at build time. It is an easy change to make to Circuitlab as we already know that wires can be colored.

Just trying to offer some alternatives since it may be a while before CL gets this far down their to do list.

Only those who are employed by CircuitLab would have access to the CL todo list and be able to gauge importance of new features.

Components can easily be colored because they already change to red when selected in Build mode.

A different color (say, blue) can be chosen for the sake of marking components at build time. This will eliminate necessity for paper or another tool.
