It'd be really neat if there were a variable DC Step Up Converter. Would make my life a lot easier. |

It's not clear quite what you are asking for. Here are some of the possibilities ... A passive block to draw in a schematic? Or a simulation circuit .... A generic switched mode supply circuit like this one? A block that allows you to do the same sort of thing but which 'hides' the guts and you just specify the switching frequency and add your own compensation components round it? A block that allows you to do the same sort of thing but which 'hides' the guts and you just specify the switching frequency and it calculates the required compensation components and puts them in place round it and which includes conversion losses? A behavioural block that behaves exactly, dynamically like a compensated switch mode boost converter but which actually has no switching components in it but which includes conversion losses? A behavioural block that behaves like an idealised boost converter with an ideal transient response but which actually has no switching components in it but which includes conversion losses? A simple DC transformer block that just behaves like an ideal transformer that operates down to DC so you get power conservation i.e. power in = power out, with the required step up (or down) ratios? Like this: BTW, try searching for buck converter too for some generic SMPS circuits. |

I think he means the ability to drop in an existing Power Management IC( e.g. LT1302 Boost converter) and be able to simulate it in ckts. |
