Would it be possible to add a feature to define an initial amount of stored charge or voltage potential across a capacitor? I like to simulate power supplies and I only really need the voltages and currents when the system has reached an equilibrium, after the capacitors are fully charged. Simulating the initial steps before the capacitors are charged is a bit of an unnecessary calculation. I feel like this would also be useful to simulate systems without an ideal voltage source and using only charged capacitors. A common example are RC circuits in intro physics courses. Here is a link of a circuit I have in mind to clarify. https://www.circuitlab.com/circuit/sk9rj4/rc-circuit/ I realize this can be done by using the time sensitive switch however I believe just having initial charge shouldn't be too difficult since it is definable in Spice. |
