Another 50:50 duty cycle 555 circuit.
The 555 timer is so versatile that many seem to have missed this easy implementation of a genuine 'squarewave' generator.
Using the designated 'Output for the charge/dis-charge cycle, after the intitial charge pulse to 2/3 Vcc a 50:50 output can be taken from the designated open collector 'Discharge' pin.
Actual component values and characteristics will vary depending on manufacturer and IC fabrication i.e TTL or CMOS etc.
