To illustrate that sweeping the DC bias in a frequency domain simulation of a circuit with a non-linear element can affect the frequency response.
The AC response is affected by the DC bias because it changes the slope resistance of the diode. The DC bias therefore changes the DC operating point of the circuit at which the AC sweep is then calculated.
