Summary

A simple lossless transmission line.
In practice many more LC segments (100+) are needed for a realistic simulation.

This one has a slightly modified 1st stage of the line.

It converges.

Description

A simple lossless transmission line. In practice many more LC segments (100+) are needed for a realistic simulation.

Replacing the Thevenin voltage source and series 50R source with the Norton equivalent circuit of a current source in parallel with a 50R resistor allows this simulation to converge properly in CircuitLab with the Time Domain simulation parameters as set.

Note that adding C12 at the input to the line reduces the input overshoot due to the edges of the signal driving into what, to them, looks like an almost an a purely inductive load (L1 shorted to ground by C1) effectively by adding a shunt capacitance across L1.
