These 2- 10 LED Christmas light sets were battery operated with a momentary push button 'start or on' switch. My biggest beef was after starting them they may stay on for a few minutes or an hour and they couldn't flash. I cut the wires off of the battery/ control unit and configured these 20 LEDs for indoor tree use only with a few simple components. The transformer has dual independent primaries & secondaries and have them in parallel to double the ampacity for the LEDs. They also include a PTC in each primary winding so there is no fuse needed although I added a T250ma PCB plug-in fuse (with a socket). The 555 is socket mounted, the LED sets are each modified with a 5' cable soldered and the other end with a barrel jack to plug in to the Power/ Flasher module. The enclosure is a MultiComp G304 ABS style. I did the artwork, drilling, component mounting & final testing in half a day.
