555 timer circuit to light LEDS in sequence PUBLIC

Since I last spoke with you I came up with a 3 light system using LEDS instead of ‘light bulbs’ which lights up LED no.1 after 1 second. LED 2 after 2 seconds and LED 3 after 3 seconds sequentially after a switch is pressed and held down for at least 3 seconds. This could be used to turn off a hand held device such as a MP3 player. If the off switch is accidentally pressed in your pocket for 1 second it will not turn off as it is not desired (Only if the switch is held down for 3 seconds.) I would be interested to know if another 555 timer circuit could be used to achieve the on/off part of the circuit?
