Analog Computer Simulation of a 2nd Order Differential Equation
A damped harmonic oscillator is represented by a 2nd order DE and solved using a technique borrowed from the days of Analog Computers. Two integrators are employed. The input to the first integrator is x''[t] via a combination of an initial condition, and feedback from subsequent stages that represent x'[t] and x[t].
