Provides a presence detector for model railway trains and similar moving things, providing an input to Arduino microcontrollers.
NOT YET COMPLETE.
Position the IR-LED D1 between the two detectors D2 and D3, using baffles so that it does not shine directly onto them. Attach a reflective surface (e.g. aluminium foil) to the item being detected (e.g. the underside of model railway vehicles). When the vehicle passes over the detectors, the sensed voltage will fluctuate in such a way that the direction of motion can be deduced.
