Hello Alex, I'm a little uneasy about there being three inversions in the feedback loop. It might model okay but you are relying on C1 having low esr. I think I'd omit Q3 and make Q1 an emitter follower. Well nope,that's not at all like me, I'd be lazy and use a 78L05. :-) mike |

Hello, Mike, tank you for you comment. 7805 needs minimum 2V drop. It is too mach for me! :) I got only 7V after rectifier, and 7805 works very bad to make stable 5.2V out. So I wanted to squeeze maximum out of my poor transformer (and brain) and this schematic do this job well. :) 2n3904 is now less then 1 cent by the way.:) |
