Long ago I had read that LED's will sense the same color they output. It might make for interesting bidirectional communication circuits. |

you know, using that you could, in theory make a spectrometer. I would bet the LED would have different properties based on the light it was sensing. perhaps to just determine colors, or something a lot more advanced like breaking down wavelengths. I've also heard that LCD/LED televisions can 'see' objects in front of the screen, or at least the silohuettes. perhaps this is how it is done. Thanks for the tip! |
