The op-amp with voltage rails can be used as an analog voltage comparator by connecting the two voltages to be compared to the op-amp's two inputs.
This example is from the The Ideal Op-Amp (Operational Amplifier) chapter of Ultimate Electronics Book. Using two different sine wave frequency generators connected to the op-amp's two outputs, we demonstrate how the op-amp with voltage rails can be used as an analog voltage comparator.
