1st example DC Voltage Divider
Simple 2 resistors voltage divider
DC Resistive Voltage Divider Example. This circuit demonstrates a resistive voltage divider
1) With R1 =100 Ohms and R2 =100 Ohms What is Vout if Vin =1V?
2) With R1 =100 Ohms and R2 =1000 Ohms What is Vout if Vin =1V?
3) With R1 =1000 Ohms and R2 =100 Ohms What is Vout if Vin =1V?
4) With R1 =100 Ohms and R2 =22,000 Ohms What is Vout if Vin =10V?
Play around with various Resistor values and Vin to get a feel of how the circuit works.
5) Develop a mathematical equation for this DC Resistive Voltage Divider . (hint The'venin's theorem)
